Succesful Roadshow to China
More activities hereU-S-E Water Roadshow to China 16th – 20th September 2019
We had 10 companies joining us on our Roadshow to China. Alfa Laval, Aquaporin, AVK, Danfoss, Grundfos, Hempel, Hoyer, Kamstrup, KD Group, and our partner Vandcenter Syd.
The roadshow consisted of company visits to some of the most influential water institutions in Beijing and Shanghai, workshops and participation in the Sino-Danish Sustainable Water Technology Summit at the Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing hosted by Grundfos and Danish Export – Water China. At all the visits and events, every company presented their solutions and networked with high-level executives and decision makers.
Beijing Activities
On the first day we visited two companies: Beijing Enterprises Water Group Co., Ltd (BEWG) and Beijing Origin Water Technology Co., Ltd.
BEWG is one of the largest public utility enterprises in China. They are a leading professional water and environmental services provider. They are present in 20 provinces in China and in 5 different countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Taiwan and Portugal.
Beijing Origin Water Technology Co., Ltd. develops rapidly based on membrane technology. Now they strive to be an integrated environmental services provider, including wastewater treatment, water supply ecological restoration, etc.
On the second day we co-hosted the Sino-Danish Sustainable Water Technology Summit with Grundfos at the Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing.
At the summit Grundfos launched the Grundfos Water & Energy Whitepaper. We got the chance to introduce the U-S-E Water Project for the local companies and press, who attended the summit. At the summit we premired a video made together with VCS Denmark, showing the fantastic results at the Ejby Mølle WWTP. See the video in this post.
After the summit there was a great opportunity for the participating companies to network with the local attendees. The day ended with a workshop and roundtable discussion.
The third day was a traveling day to Shanghai.
Shanghai Activities
On the fourth day we visited two companies in Shanghai: Shanghai Municipal Engineering Design Institute (Group) Co., Ltd (SMEDI) and Shanghai Chengtou Water Group Co., Ltd.
SMEDI is engaged in planning, engineering design and consultation, EPC, and the whole process service of project management. The business scope of SMEDI covers various fields, including the specialties of water supply, wastewater treatment amongst many other industries.
Shanghai Chengtou Water Group is a large state-owned enterprise group specializing in the investment, construction, operation and management of urban water infrastructure. The group has 8 core enterprises with nearly 9000 employees. Shanghai Chengtou Water Group is one of those enterprises with the largest comprehensive water treatment capacity in single cities in China.
On the last day of the roadshow we had a secong workshop and visited: Veolia China.
Our contacts are in charge of, and working with a large number of WWTP’s in China. We had a good meeting and agreed to meet for further discussions.
