The U-S-E Water Information Meeting was held successfully at Royal Danish Consulate General, Shanghai on March 12th. More than 65 participants from different Chinese companies and institutions together with Danish Export – Water China members from Grundfos, AVK, Hempel, Danfoss, KD Group and Alfa Laval attended the meeting. It was a great pleasure to have the guests from Shanghai Municipal Engineering Design Institute ( SMEDI), Shanghai Water East China Normal University and Shanghai Environmental Protection Industry Association, who participated in this U-S-E Water networking event.


Mr. Jesper Herold Halle, Commercial Consul of Royal Danish Consulate General Shanghai, delivered the Welcome Speech. Ms. Xianying Wang, the Director of Membership Department of SEPIA, made the Opening Speech as the local partner of the U-S-E Water Project.
Mr. Adam Zhang, Water Consultant of Danish Export – Water China, introduced the U-S-E Water Project in detail. The participants were impressed by the project and showed their interests to deeper engagement of the U-S-E Project. Mr. Xuejun Tan, the Vice Director of SMEDI Research Institute, illustrated the policy trend of the Chinese water governance in the recent years and growing market of water industry in China. His analysis and forecasting of the Chinese water market received wide acclaim.
Danish water technology member companies made presentations about their products and industrial cases. Presentations from AVK, Hempel, Danfoss, Grundfos, KD Group and Alfa Laval showed a great picture of advanced Danish water technology to the participants, who are mostly from fellow Chinese enterprises in the water industry.
Two Chinese companies, Shanghai HAIDEO Fluid Equipment Manufacturing Co. and Shanghai Ecoledear presented their business. As representatives of local companies, both of them expressed their interests to explore collaborative opportunities with Danish water technology companies in the U-S-E Water Project.
Mr. Feng Lu, Director of Soil and Water Restoration Special Committee of SEPIA, made the final speech with the topic of Upgrading the Chinese environmental industry by boosting international cooperation. He spoke highly of the U-S-E Water Project and expressed SEPIA’s good wishes to the Sino-Danish cooperation on water technology.
Afterwards, participants had a good discussion during the roundtable session, sharing their business development, products and upcoming projects each other. Pleasant communication also occurred among member companies to discuss and input to the U-S-E Water Project.
With the efforts of Danish Export – Water China as well as the support from the Danish government, it will be a good opportunity to bring the Danish water technology and solution to the Chinese water industry through the U-S-E project. The information meeting is a good start to initiate the potential Sino-Danish Water cooperation in the upcoming three years.
